Run exams from the same class list you teach

Digital exams are more than typing marks into a sheet. Schedules, class lists, report cards and parent publication have to use the same enrolment data.

The class list problem

Most exam chaos is enrolment chaos. A student sitting in class but missing from the mark sheet, or present on the sheet but withdrawn last month. Digital examination management has to read the current SIS, not a file exported in week two.

Marks entry is a workflow

Teachers need to enter marks for their subjects. Controllers need oversight. Published report cards need a freeze so they do not change while parents are looking. SchoolPilot’s exams and grading tools are built around those roles.

Publication

Results that only exist as a printed card in a bag still generate office queues. Parent and student portals can show published results. Printing remains useful; it should print from the same record.

AI is assistance, not an exam board

SchoolPilot includes AI examination features to help generate or analyse assessment material. They do not certify a board result. Teachers and controllers remain accountable for what is officially recorded.

In a trial, create one exam, enter marks for a single subject, freeze the card, and open the parent portal. If a withdrawn student still appears or a published total can be edited quietly, you will repeat last year’s result-day chaos on a nicer screen.
